Hi, I have a semi-disabled site that I can not seem to remove the old stats. When I go in there to delete the "webstat" folder, permission is denied.

I have unclicked the "web stats" option in the hosting section, weeks ago.

Any way to remove these not-needed files (and 'webstat' folder)?

(I am keeping the hosting for the sole purpose of using the email; the website itself is non-functioning)

Upipe 10 account.

Plesk 5 does not allow you to manually delete web statistics through your FTP client. You can remove some web statistics files through your Upipe Plesk 5 control panel with the following steps:

1) Click on the domain for which you wish to remove the web statistics.
2) Click on the Log Manager button.
3) In the "Sel" column check the boxes of the web statistics Plesk will let you remove. (Some boxes will be grayed out; you will not be able to remove those files.)
4) Click on the remove selected button.
5) Check the box next to, "Yes, I wish to remove these log files."
6) Click on the Submit button.

For the other web statistic files you are unable to delete, you can reduce their size by forcing daily log rotation. To set daily log rotation in your Plesk 5 control panel:

1) Click on the domain for which you wish to remove the web statistics.
2) Click on the Log Manager button.
3) Click on the Log Rotation button.
4) Change the Log rotation period to "by time".
5) Set the drop-down menu to "daily".
6) Make sure the box next to "Compress log files" is checked.
7) Make sure log rotation is set to ON. If it is set to OFF, click on the ON/OFF button.
8) Click on the Update button to save your changes.
