I am still having some speed issues with my sites. If you could look over the traceroute results pasted below, and let me know... Is this a routing problem, or should I look at purchasing more server resourses?

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

BTW, I included 4 trace route requests just to show the variation in the responses.

Thanks.

There are actually several things going on that could be the culprit for the performance issues you're seeing, depending on what type of performance issue you're referring to.

In your traceroutes, there is some variable latency and packet loss that appears early on in your traceroute. That appears to start where the data hits one of our backbone providers, but before it gets to our network. I'll check with the backbone provider to get more information and put in a trouble ticket if necessary.

Also, your VE is on a node that is currently under a heavy load due to increased traffic to other VEs on that node. We're also doing some maintenance on one of our hardware nodes, so there are more VEs on your hardware node than there normally would be. As a temporary solution, I'm migrating your VE to a different node. The node I'm migrating your VE to is about half as fast, but it has less load at the moment, so you should notice an improvement in performance.

Once the migration is complete, let me know if you're still having performance issues and I'll pursue this further.

Definately a difference already. i will keep an eye on it and let you know if it gets worse again.

On a side note, it took you less than 5 minutes to look into and repair this. My reseller site is going live in the next 2 weeks, and I am glad to have the support behind me from advantagecom. I have had reservations about offering web hosting services to my clients as a reseller with other hosting companies I have dealt with, but I have none with yours.

Thanks, and keep up the great service.
