Hey, kinda stumped this time.. Setting up the easy install of osCommerce that is in the admin panel, and its asking me whether I want it installed in the http folder or the https folder.

Which should I choose, or should i install it in both? Do want my transactions to be secure of course, but figured I would ask just to be sure... Seems to me if I install it to the https folder, everything would be secure, but would it all work there without prolems?

To have the information transmitted through your web browser secure you would need to install OScommerce in the httpsdocs directory. You will only want to install OScommerce in one location.

You will want to configure your site to use SSL. If you want your browser to not give a security alert warning message when you access it with https:// you will want to get an SSL certificate for your site. We recommend Commodo/InstantSSL as a SSL certificate provider, as per the reasons in the following post:

Only one site per IP address can use SSL. If you have a second site that you want to configure with SSL you will need to purchase another IP address in your billing control panel.
