vds8.schmolie.com is down. This handles several virtuozzo based VPS services.

A reboot via power cycle is in progress.

If a full disk check is required, this process may take an extended period of time (20 - 60 minutes, possibly longer if trouble is found).

During boot, each VPS will come up for a bit and then go back down for a few minutes to recalculate disk quotas. This is required after an ungraceful reboot.

The trouble was likely an offline RAID device. We've never identified the exact source of the issue, but this has been an issue for this machine with long periods between incidents (3 to 13 months). It is likely a software/firmware problem, but, due to the age of this machine, it cannot be updated.

An update will be posted to this thread when everything is running again or if further remedial actions are required.

No disk check was required and VPS's are now coming up.

All of VPS finished restarting for their quota re-check a little while ago.

All services related to this event are operating normally at this time.
