Hello,

We have both Upipe account and VPS (The Schmolie Special).

Do we have JavaServer Pages (JSP) on anyone of them ?

If yes, how we can enable it ?

If not, can we have this technology as some customers are asking for JSP ?

I'm not familiar with JSP but I learned that it is available for Apache [http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/overview.html]

Thanks.

My apologies for not responding sooner. For one reason or another, I didn't notice this post until just now.

I'm not all that familiar with java related server software, but I believe what you're looking for would be Tomcat. Our new RedHat 7.3 based X-VPS and D-VPS plans have a full suite of java related application templates available, including Tomcat.

More information on Tomcat can be found at:

http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/

Regarding your existing Schmolie Special account, you may be able to install Tomcat manually. I believe several of our customers have done so. We don't have an automated application template available for install on the older plans, though, so it is unsupported on the RedHat 7.1 plans. In other words, only limited technical support is available for any manual install of Tomcat you might attempt.

Tomcat and/or JSP support is not available on the Upipe accounts at the present time.

I'm not sure if I saw your reply andy, I'm sorry!
If so, I will have surely answered!

Anyway, I got the answer from Martin too by email.

We would be interested by the new Schmolie Speical (RedHat 7.3 based VPS) with Tomcat. But we did not make the decision yet.

Thanks.
