After much research, we have finally selected the equipment for our new anti-spam and anti-virus email filtering service.
Here are the key points of the service:
For 5 employees working at $10/hr with bandwidth, storage, processing, and employee time, approximately $2,221 per year is lost to spam. That is $444.20 per person per year or $37.02 per person per month lost to spam. If your company has more employees or pays more than $10/hr, then your costs are probably higher. Of course, if you have time to burn and don't get paid for it, then your only costs are those precious minutes of your life that you could be using to play a game or do something much more enjoyable than sort out spam. The price for this service is $5 per month per domain, payable in quarterly (3 month) increments or longer. For your $5 per month, you get up to 35 protected email addresses and up to 10,000 email messages filtered per month. If you need more than that, it is as simple as adding another $5 per month service for the same domain and you'll get those same resources added to what you already have. The hardware that will be used to provide this service is scheduled to be delivered to our facility on January 3, 2006. To give us ample time to install, configure, and familiarize with the system, we have set a tentative start date of January 9, 2006 for this new service. Purchasing the equipment is a rather substantial cash outlay for this company and we would like to replenish that cash as quickly as possible. To that end, we are offering the following prepayment incentives:
Any orders received after January 20, 2006 or for less than a 12 month prepayment will not receive a discount. To order, click the following link: https://manage.speedingbits.com/store/index.cgi/sid,11975 -------------------- Sincerely,

Just to clarify, there is no way for us to actually limit or control your usage. Because of this, when you go over the amount allotted, you will be automatically upgraded to the higher level that includes enough resources to fully cover your needs. On a monthly basis, we'll review your usage of the service to determine if your service requires an upgrade to handle your usage. With each upgrade, there will be a prorated charge for the remainder of the billing period (not less than one month increments) for the higher level service. Your next renewal will be charged at the higher level service. If you have any questions about how we bill for this service or need further clarification, please contact billing@advantagecom.net . -------------------- Sincerely,
